Acts88 also organises day trips for students as well as supporting various churches with different projects pertaining to school children.

DAY TRIPS:

Are organised to extend the material being explored in the various school clubs. For example; a group of young people went with some of the team to Wintershall Nativity Production which is a production of the Nativity set in a real barn with real animals.

 

CHURCH EVENTS:

 BIBLE EXHIBITION - East Sheen Baptist Church, Sheen

Held every year in September, East Sheen Baptist Church present on "A walk through the Bible" focussing on different aspects such as the Life of Jesus, Old Testament Stories, New Testament Stories and Pilgrims Progress. This exhibition consists of "live" characters telling their story while the children take a tour around the brightly coloured display boards. They then conclude the exhibition by filling in a quiz and enjoying food that they would have eaten in Bible times such as olives, goats cheese and figs etc.

 

RAINBOW CLUB - St Stephen's Church, Twickenham

Ever April over 200 children descend on this church for the annual children's holiday club. The team enjoy being part of this event as many of the children that attend are from the schools that Acts88 does presentations in. It  is a great way of keeping in touch with the children and what is important to them and what interests them.

 

 

 

 BIG TOP - Teddington Baptist Church, Teddington

 Big Top is  held every August during the Summer holiday.

This is another opportunity for the team to work with children at a more grass roots level. This club is also attended by children from the surrounding schools that recognise the team and creates an opportunity for them to get to know the team better. Many children enjoy clubs like these and it is a safe and fun place to explore the Christian Faith even further with the team walking alongside them on this journey.
